Mark your calendar for our fall general meeting to be held Sunday, October 27 following our traditional end-of-season "Cider Rides." Three routes, three distances are offered. Roll out is 10 a.m. Meeting will follow at 1 p.m. in the Como Lake Park Casino, just north of the main parking lot.

The big item on the agenda is the election of officers and board members. Watch this space and your NFBC e-mail for information on nominations and for other topics to be added to the agenda. We will arrange some lunch, as well.

In case of bad weather -- rain, sleet, snow, gale force winds -- the meeting will proceed as scheduled. In case of a county-wide driving ban, the meeting will be rescheduled.

Starting June 29, David Bowman will be the official ride leader for the 9:00 AM ride that leaves from the Red Jacket parking lot of the Ellicott complex at UB North campus. Thank you Dave! This ride usually goes toward Tonawanda and several riders may stop for a quick breakfast there. This is a less formal ride and likely will not have cue sheets. If you are new, make sure Dave is aware and he will help make sure you find someone at your riding pace.

Just a heads-up that weekday evening rides that start at 6:30 p.m. will start at 6:00 p.m. beginning Monday, September 2 in order to steal a little additional daylight. Rides that have been starting at 6:00 p.m. will keep on keeping on.

And just a little advance heads-up, weekend rides will switch to a 10 a.m. start beginning September 21 and continue through the end of the riding season. We chose mid-September as the time of year when we need to let the world warm up a bit longer in the morning. See you at the ride.
