    Dear Members:

Next week’s Spotlight ride starts at the entrance to the Buffalo Lighthouse (street parking) and will feature scenic stops along the Buffalo Outer Harbor: the wind sculptures at Wilkeson Point, Tifft Nature Preserve, Ship Canal Commons, and a spin around South Park and the Botanical Gardens. We may stop at Woodlawn Beach or continue south to the Hamburg Clock Tower and another great view of the lake. Then we’ll retrace our route back to the lighthouse and take the bike ferry across to Canalside for lunch.

Spotlight rides always start at 10 AM on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Make plans to join us!

      Dear Members:

A Fourth of July ride has been added to the schedule, and our president Brenda Fischer is your leader! Bring your sparklers and join us at Como Park; fittingly, there are four routes to choose from.

And you may have noticed that there are LOTS of July opportunities to lead rides! Take a look and let me or Bradshaw know which ones youwant to lead. After all “Leaderless” rides are so last year.

        Dear Members:

This month’s SPOTLIGHT ride will happen on Wednesday, June 15th, and starts from LaSalle Waterfront Park at 6611 Buffalo Ave in Niagara Falls, NY. The ride takes place entirely on the bikepath which starts at the park and goes north to Niagara Falls, continues to Whirlpool park, Devil’s Hole park, and extends all the way to Lewiston, NY. There we can choose to have lunch at the Silo, The Brickyard Pub or Cask and Cow before we head back along the same path.

There’s plenty of parking at LaSalle Waterfront Park, and we start at 10 AM as the Spotlight rides always do. It’s only about 12 scenic miles one way, so this will be a leisurely, stop-and-smell-the-roses/admire-the Niagara-Gorge kind of ride.

Fingers crossed for great weather. See you there!
