Dear Members:

Did you notice an extra ride on the NFBC schedule for Sunday June 12th? The Birthday Ride celebrates the 52nd birthday of members Melissa Rakvica and Michelle Bates. It’s 52 miles around Clarence for 52 years around the sun! Come join the birthday girls at the official start time 9:00 AMOR at 8:00 AM for the “Sloth Team” (casual riders Michelle and Jen, and anyone else who wants an early start). All North rides start at the same location on that day, Williamsville East High School.

There will be cupcakes and singing after the ride!

Traditionally, the Memorial Day Ride hosted by Jim and Kathy Vozga, has always been followed by a backyard party at the Vozga’s. However, this year due to the uncertainty of the Covid situation, Jim has decided to lead the ride without a party. The start time will remain 10 AMas it appears on the website schedule, and the start location is still Clarence Middle School.

This year the Clarence Center Memorial Day parade starts at 11 AM and will block Main St for a couple of hours. As a result, the short ride only has been revised to avoid crossing Main St around 11 AM.

Dear Members:

The Spring Trash and Treasure Ride scheduled for Saturday 4/23 has been postponed, so as not to confict with the memorial service for Larry Reade.

Long time NFBC member Larry Reade passed away last month, and his memorial service is scheduled for Saturday 4/23 at 10 AM at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Amherst, 6320 Main St in Williamsville. There is also a memorial ride planned for the following day Sunday 4/24 departing at 10 AM from Wide Waters Marina in Lockport.

Spring Trash and Treasure will be re-scheduled at a later date.
